Did you say you make your own soups?!

Yes, we do. We don't have a set menu, or a soup schedule, or any of the business you might be used to. Here at Scratch, we experience soup as a feeling – an expression – an excuse to carpe diem. In a world that sadly accepts pre-fab as the status quo, we choose to rage eloquently against the machine.

Our selections change daily, as do our minds and inclinations. In general, we're looking at $6/cup or $7/bowl. However, we reserve the right to charge a little more for a soup that gives you a lot more. We aim to maintain a “something for everybody” motif, so if there's something you'd like to see and haven't, let us know. Our chefs love a challenge! Gourmet Grilled Cheese / Mac & Cheese

Our grilled cheese selections are served on your choice of, whole wheat, multigrain, sourdough, or marble rye. Though these delicious grilled goodies are a la carte, we are happy to throw in our world famous spud nuggets for an additional $3, or a fresh garden side salad for $3. And everything can be upgraded to mac and cheese for a measly $2. For you gluten-free folks, our offerings may also be prepared as a gluten-free quesadilla for $2. That's right – the menu is your oyster. Get weird with it!

 

Deluxe Traditional: Applewood smoked bacon, thinly sliced roma tomatoes, and sharp cheddar cheese accompanied by a sweet and savory bacon-tomato jam. $8

Duck Confit: With a peach and habernero marmalade and melted mild gruyere cheese. $11 (Better with bacon for a measly $3 extra)

​

Thanksgiving: Freshly roasted breast of turkey with apple-sausage-cornbread house stuffing, cranberry orange relish, and melted triple crème brie. $11

​

Sup, Shorty?: Cabernet braised short rib with saloon fried onions, gruyere cheese, and bacon-tomato jam. $11

​

Los Cubanos Locos: Spicy, marinated BBQ pulled pork with savory ham, dill pickles, whole grain mustard and melted gruyere cheese. $11

The Portagoose: With sliced chourico, sauteed bell pepper and Spanish onion, melted pepper jack cheese and roasted garlic aioli. $10

​

Humongous Fungus: A large marinated and grilled portabello mushroom cap with roasted red pepper, sharp provolone cheese, and a basil-arugula pesto. $10

​

Chili Dog: You know you want it as a grilled cheese, with house-made chili, diced onions, and sharp cheddar cheese. $9

​

Party Dip: Chunky artichoke fondue, hanging out with fried spinach, roasted garlic aioli and melted Gruyere cheese. $10 (Add fried chicken for $4 for a tasty upgrade.)

​

Parmesan: Choice of chicken or eggplant, breaded and fried to a golden brown and served with house marinara sauce and melted provolone cheese. $10

 

Fat Kid: Deep fried mac & cheese slammed between two pieces of buttery bread with melted provolone. Topped with house-made tomato bacon jam. $10 (better with bacon or ham, just $3 extra)

French Dip: Like what you're thinking, but a grilled cheese. Made with tender beef, sharp cheddar, and horseradish cream. Served with a side of savory beef jus. $10

​

Name That Tuna: A good, old fashioned tuna melt with sliced roma tomato and melted Gruyere cheese. $9

​

Loaf of Meat: House made loaf of beef with balsamic caramelized onion, applewood smoked bacon, roasted garlic aioli and melted sharp cheddar. Seriously. $10

Scratch Reuben: House braised corned beef with Russian dressing, melted Gruyere cheese, Scratch slaw. We will scrutinize you if you don't want it on rye. $11

​

Patty Melt: One and a half 4 oz beef burgers (6 oz., for those who need it added up) cooked through and seasoned to perfection, served with applewood smoked bacon, balsamic caramelized onions, horseradish cream sauce, and sharp cheddar. $10

​

“I'm From Philly” Cheesesteak: Shaved sirloin, sauteed peppers, onions & mushrooms & provolone. $10

​

Steak & American: Does what it says on the tin. $9

​

Chicken & Waffles: Forget about the bread. We're using frigging waffles. Served with fried chicken, melted sharp cheddar, and a maple mustard dressing. Yep. $12

(Please note that this is weird as a mac and cheese, and the chef might come out and attack you if you order it. At your own risk, blah blah blah, etc.)

Plain Ol' Grilled Cheese: We don't know what possessed you, but after seeing the previous selections, you still want an old school American grilled cheese. We're reluctant, but we have your back. $5 (add bacon or ham for $3)

Gourmet Wraps

(can be gluten free for an additional $2)

The wraps are gourmet too?! You betcha. We're going for this “full meal in a wrap” motif. We think you'll like where we're headed.

Turkey Day: Freshly roasted breast of turkey with apple-sausage-cornbread house stuffing, cranberry orange relish, and house-curated spud nuggets. $11 (add melted brie for $2)

​

Bangkok in a Sock: Thai marinated grilled chicken, jasmine rice, pan-seared oriental vegetables, and savory peanut sauce. $10

​

Southern Slammer: Choice of BBQ chicken or beef with house curated spud nuggets and a tomato-chili-corn salsa. $10 (add melted cheddar for $1)

​

Big Tuna: Fresh, rare pan-seared tuna with jasmine rice, mixed oriental vegetables, and a savory soy-lime glaze. $12

​

Hail Caesar: Traditional Caesar salad prepared with your choice of grilled chicken or steak, tossed in house Caesar dressing with homemade croutons, fresh romaine lettuce, and grated parmesan cheese. $6 = plain / $9 = chicken / $12 = steak / $14 = seared tuna

Portabella Fella: Grilled portabella mushroom with roasted red pepper, fresh mozzarella, vine-ripened tomato, balsamic glaze, and basil-arugula pesto. $10

Steak and Greens: Grilled steak tossed in baby field greens with applewood smoked blue cheese, dried cranberries, candied walnuts, cucumbers, vine-ripened tomato, Bermuda onion and a house citrus vinaigrette. $12
